Fellowship in Clinical Hematology
Advance Your Expertise in Blood Disorders: Fellowship in Clinical Hematology for Specialized Care and Research.
Course Overview
Clinical Hematology is a specialized branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, evaluation, and management of blood and bone marrow disorders including anemias, bleeding and clotting disorders, hematologic malignancies, transfusion medicine, and stem cell transplantation. This fellowship provides structured clinical training, laboratory exposure, and case-based learning to help physicians manage hematologic diseases independently in outpatient and inpatient settings.
What You'll Learn
Interpretation of CBC, peripheral smear, coagulation profile, and bone marrow studies.
Diagnosis and management of different types of anemia including iron deficiency, hemolytic, and aplastic anemia.
Evaluation and treatment of bleeding and thrombotic disorders including ITP, TTP, hemophilia, and DIC.
Understanding and management of leukemias, lymphomas, and plasma cell disorders.
Principles of chemotherapy and management of treatment-related complications.
Basics of transfusion medicine including blood grouping, cross-matching, and component therapy.
Recognition and management of hematologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and febrile neutropenia.
Application of evidence-based hematology and participation in clinical research.
